The Crossing

Who are you when no one is watching?

You've been holding it together for so long you forgot what it feels like to actually be okay.

Not performing okay. Not managing. Not white-knuckling through another week hoping something shifts.

Actually okay.

You're at a crossroads. Maybe the relationship ended. Maybe the job did. Maybe both. Maybe it's the quiet hum of noticing that somewhere between building the life you were supposed to want and living inside it, you lost the thread back to yourself.

You've read the books. You might have a therapist. You provide. You show up. You do the things a man is supposed to do.

And still, something in you knows this isn't it.

That's not a crisis. That's a calling.

So this is that: your own moment of crossing, brought to where you already are. Eight weeks with a small circle of men. No performance. No fixing. Just the work of coming back to yourself, done alongside men doing the same.

You go in as one man. You come back as another.

This is for you if…

  • You're at a crossroads and some part of you knows this is an invitation, not just a disaster.
  • You have everything on paper and feel nothing underneath it.
  • You've read the books. You know the language. You can explain your patterns better than anyone. And nothing has moved.
  • You can intellectualize anything, including your own pain.
  • You want to feel something real again.

This is not for you if…

  • You want a webinar. A framework. Another set of tools to add to the pile you already understand and don't use.
  • You want to watch. This is a circle, not an audience. You'll be asked to speak, to be seen, to do real, tangible work.
  • You're looking for information. If that's what you want, buy a book.
  • You're looking for a quick fix. A hack. A system that gets you the outcome without the discomfort of going through it.
  • You're in acute crisis: active addiction, mental health emergency, immediate danger. This work requires enough ground under your feet to actually do it.

Looking for reading instead? I have a few recommendations.

The shape

Eight weeks. One circle. Eight men.

We meet once a week, ninety minutes, same night every week, on video. Between the calls, you practice — in your body, in your breath, in life.

The eight weeks move through three crossings.

  1. The Crossing of Self

You've been moving so fast, for so long, that you've never stopped long enough to ask what you actually feel. What you actually want. What you've been carrying that was never yours to carry.

This phase slows you down. Deliberately. You journal. You sit. You practice being with your own experience instead of immediately escaping it. You'll go through a dopamine detox, which you will use to clear enough static so you can finally hear the signal underneath.

This is where you start to make contact with yourself again.

  2. The Crossing of Other

Once a man can be with himself, he can actually be with other people.

This phase opens into relationship. You build a practice here. Not a ritual you perform because someone told you to, but a living relationship with something that holds you when you stop trying to hold everything yourself.

This is where the loneliness starts to lift. Not because it's fixed, but because you stop being alone with it.

  3. The Crossing of Source

This is the return. Not back to the life you left — back into the world as a different man. Grounded enough to act from something real instead of from fear or obligation or the need to be seen.

By week 7, you will have made a crossing specifically created for you by the group's conscience. By week 8, you will declare who you now are. A declaration. This is who I am. This is what I'm here for. This is how I'm going to live.

You'll experience the power of that firsthand.

What's inside

What you actually get.

  • 8 weekly 90-minute video circles

Tuesdays at 6:00 PM PT. Every week, the same nine of us will gather. We will practice together. We will share and be witnessed. This is the spine of the container. You don't miss it.

  • A private channel between calls

The confidential channel is where the life materials between the calls will be processed.

  • The Shadow Work Course

You'll receive my 10-week shadow work module. You'll have access to this for a year, so you can start on it whenever you feel ready.

  • A practice you build and keep

By the end of eight weeks you have a living relationship with your own inner life. A daily practice that's yours.

  • Discounted access to in-person gatherings

During your engagement, you have discounted access to my live events. If the circle calls you into physical space, that door is open.

  • A crossing curated specifically for you

Over our time, each man will receive a gift in the form of a crossing that he will be asked to make. What that is will unfold organically by our second month. This will come through the group conscience, and each man will be guided as much as he needs to make this crossing. This might be the edgiest thing you've ever done, but you will also have support you might not have had your whole life.

  • The declaration

You speak. Out loud. To the circle. This is who I am. This is what I'm here for. Most men have never done this.

Being in Ish's container helped push me to take some brave steps, including returning back to Europe after 5 years, and forming my own group. It was life changing, and if you give this work a chance, I have no doubt it can change your life too.

About me

I'm Ish. I guide men through crossings.

I grew up undocumented in America. Bangladeshi by birth, American by accident, never quite belonging to either. I watched my father get smaller in this country. The sixty-hour weeks. The heart attacks. The rage. The disappearing.

I decided early that wasn't going to be me. So I went looking.

Fifteen years of looking. Vipassana. Vajrayana. Plant medicine. The Sweat Lodge. The Mankind Project. Shipibo and Andean apprenticeships. Freemasonry. The School of Lost Borders. Relationship and ruptures. A near-death experience that rearranged my understanding of what matters.

I don't guide from having arrived. I guide from having gone in and come back out — the descent, the grief, the years of performing a life instead of living it, and the long work of finding my way back.

The men I work with don't need me to fix them. They need someone who won't flinch when they finally say the true thing.

That's what I bring.

Common questions

Before you commit.

If something here isn't answered, it's a fair thing to ask before you pay. Write to me and I'll tell you straight.

Is this therapy?
No. I'm not a therapist and this isn't clinical treatment — the disclaimer says so in full. This is men's group work: practice, being witnessed, and the slow business of coming back to yourself. Plenty of men do this alongside therapy. If you're in acute crisis — active addiction, a mental health emergency, immediate danger — get clinical support first. This work asks for enough ground under your feet to actually do it.
What actually happens in a circle?
Tuesdays at 6:00 PM PT, ninety minutes, eight weeks. The same nine of us every week. We practice together. Men share and are witnessed. Between calls, the work continues in a private channel. It isn't a lecture and it isn't a webinar — you'll be asked to speak, to be seen, and to do real, tangible work.
How much time does this take outside the calls?
About four to five hours a week. That's the journaling, the sitting, the practice you're building, and what moves through the private channel. The ninety minutes on the call is the spine, not the whole of it.
What if I have to miss a week?
Every circle is recorded, so you won't lose the material. But come if you can — the recording gives you the content, not the room. Being witnessed is the part that does the work, and that only happens live.
Do I need to have done men's work before?
No. Nothing here assumes you've sat in a circle before. The first phase is deliberately slow — journaling, sitting, a dopamine detox — because most men arrive having never stopped long enough to ask what they actually feel. What matters more than experience is that you're willing to do the work rather than study it.
I've already done a lot of inner work. Is there anything here for me?
Often more, not less. Some of the men who get the most out of this can explain their patterns better than anyone and have watched nothing move. Understanding isn't the same as change. This is a container built for practice and for being seen doing it, which is exactly the part that reading can't give you.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. The circle and the private channel between calls are both confidential. That's the ground the whole thing stands on — men don't say the real thing in a room that leaks.
What does it cost, and how do I start?
$900, or three payments of $315 — paying in full saves you $45. Once you pay you'll receive an application that takes about ten minutes. The next cohort begins July 2027, and it's capped at eight men.
Is there a refund if I change my mind?
No. There's no refund once you've paid, so if you're on the fence, write to me before you pay rather than after. I'd genuinely rather have that conversation first and tell you it isn't a fit than take your money and find out in week three.

The door is shut, not locked.

The next cohort begins July 2027. Eight seats, and the men already on this list hear first. Leave your name and you'll know the day it opens.

And if July is too far away for what's live in you now — the First Cut is three sessions on a single edge, one to one. No cohort to wait for. We can start this month.
